Why Dog Obedience Training Matters for Rochester Dog Owners
Dog Obedience Training is designed for any dog (5 months and up) that needs foundational manners, reliable recall, loose-leash walking, and polite behavior in real-world settings. Whether your dog pulls on walks, ignores commands under distractions, or needs to behave better indoors, our Rochester-based trainers tailor each lesson to your dog’s personality and pace. Using proven techniques and modern training tools, our program combines hands-on instruction, owner coaching, and reinforcement strategies for genuine, lasting obedience.

Our Training Process
Initial Evaluation & Consultation
We do a phone consultation to assess what the temperament, behavior, and goals are of the dog’s owner
Engagement, Play & Foundation Skills
We start by teaching you and your dog how to use cooperative play to build engagement, motivation, and focus. We also introduce loose-leash walking to promote calm movement and awareness of the handler from day one.
Foundation Building
We begin teaching basic commands, impulse control, focus work, and handler-dog communication in a low-distraction environment.
Progressive Challenges
As your dog masters basics, we gradually introduce distractions, distance, and real-world settings (parks, sidewalks in Rochester neighborhoods).
Advanced Skills & Refinement
In advanced lessons, we teach more complex commands, outdoor proofing, and reliable behavior even when off-leash.
